Device Compatibility Check

Check the Status of Your Device in Canada Before purchasing a phone from either an individual or any local classifieds ( , ). Use the tool below to check. Anytime a GSM, HSPA or LTE wireless device is reported as lost or stolen to a participating Canadian wireless service provider, that device’s unique IMEI number will be added to a shared national blacklist (the “Blacklist”). Any device appearing on the Blacklist will be blocked, and participating Canadian wireless service providers will not allow it to be used on their respective wireless networks. To determine if a device has been reported lost or stolen, which would prevent it from working on Canadian wireless networks, enter the 15 digit IMEI number in the window below and click enter. You can obtain the IMEI number by entering *#06# on most devices. Alternatively, the IMEI number should also be on a white label found underneath the battery of your device.
